There is a reason great nations are built. And there is a
reason great nations eventually stagnate and decline.
During the building phase, the world calls out for
innovators, leaders, producers and those are willing to risk, create and think
creatively and independently.
Such epochs reward initiative, ingenuity,
resourcefulness and enterprise.
During eras of decline, the system calls for followers,
those who fit in, those who try to impress the current establishment, those who
avoid risk and depend on experts and think in the accepted ways.
Ironically, it is in ages of decline that innovators and
enterprisers are most needed.
In such periods, society puts all its energy into
encouraging followers and risk-avoiders, but the opposite is truly needed.
We live in a time where nothing is needed more than
"innovators, leaders, producers and those who are willing to risk, create and
think creatively and independently."
BRING ME MEN to
match my mountains,
Bring me men to match my plains
And new eras in their brains.
Bring me men to match my prairies...
Pioneers to cleanse thought's marshlands,
And to cleanse old error's fen....
