The Greatest Work of Man
I am a supporter of the U.S.
Constitution.
I believe that it
was the result of noble men pulling together the best work of mankind's
greatest geniuses of freedom.
It is the finest freedom document of history.
The
principles it articulates are the foundation of freedom for our future.
Even
though it had its flaws--especially allowing slavery--it actually provided for
the fixing of these flaws.
We are the beneficiaries of the freedoms this great
document provides, regardless of our status, race, religion, gender or ability.
The U.S. Constitution, both
directly and indirectly, is responsible for the freedom of more people than any
other government document in the world's history.
I believe, like Gladstone,
that it is the greatest work ever struck off by the mind and purpose of man.
