Freedom "Experts"?

Self-Serving Freedom "Experts"?

Nietzsche said that the best way to understand science is from the viewpoint of art, and the best way to understand art is from a standpoint of life.

Trying to understand the place of science in society from the viewpoint of scientists, or the role of art according to artists, and so on, is simply self-aggrandizing and inaccurate.

Of course people who make their living a certain way see their field in a self-serving way.

How could it be otherwise?

Seeing the role of politics, governance, law or economics from the viewpoint of professional politicians, government employees, lawyers or economics is clearly limited and at times downright misleading.

The politicians are not the real experts on government, certainly not on the proper role of government.

The most accurate, most true, wisest view of politics, economics, law and government comes from the citizenry.

The American founding generation understood this.

Does ours?
