Freedom, like other forces of nature, has momentum.
At
times, like after the Revolutionary War and after World War II, freedom's
momentum is strong.
During other eras, like in times of extended debt or
national decline, our collective freedom momentum is weaker.
When freedom's
momentum is weak, it takes a lot more courage and effort to bring freedom back
to the forefront of the national consciousness.
When freedom momentum just begins to pick up--that is the key
point.
Many people notice the upsurge of freedom and think freedom momentum is
back, and so they turn their attention to other things.
But in fact at this
point freedom is just getting started, and the need is for all citizens who
care about freedom to help build the momentum.
Now is such a time.
