5 Guidelines to Being a Good Citizen

Sometimes truth comes from the most unexpected sources.

The following five guidelines to being a good citizen were actually published in Allure (March 2012 issue) under the title "The Rx Factor," as a guide to make sure you get good beauty products.

I was thinking about government as I thumbed through my wife's magazine, and I just had to share.

These 5 guidelines are excellent advice for good citizens:

1.        School yourself [read the great freedom classics and the writings of the founders]

2.       Read the fine print [the Constitution, bills and laws, court cases, treaties, etc.]

3.       Look for products [or candidates] that aren't one-size-fits-all

4.       Return to sender [if the candidate or policy doesn't work, replace it]

5.       Check for a money-back guarantee [on every new government program]

Truth is truth, whatever its source.
